ABOUT LAB FURNITURE

Laboratory benches, chairs, stools, tables, work surfaces and storage cabinets are used in all types of facilities, including medical, chemistry and life sciences laboratories.

TYPES OF LAB FURNITURE

Apparel Dispensers- 

In lab furniture let's first talk about Apparel Dispensers. These specialized supports are located at or before the entrance to the main laboratory. They contain clean clothing, such as gowns and gowns, which should be used in "clean" lab environments.

Balance Shields / Mini-Hoods- 

Balance shields are transparent boxes that exceed balances. They allow for accurate weighing and protect samples from being disturbed by airflow and physical shocks. Mini-cups are similar to balance shields, but they are transparent boxes with an opening that can be closed inside which balance is placed.

Laboratory Benches-

They have several storage sections (cameras) to store individual tests. Forensic cabinets almost always have locks on each individual camera. These cabinets may also have specialized drains and integrated ventilation systems.

General Cabinets- 

Cabinets are one of the most common storage units in a lab. These cabinets can be specialized or of the general storage variety. Short cabinets are often covered with special laminates so that they can act as laboratory benches.

Chemical Cabinets- 

Chemical cabinets are used to store exactly what their name implies. Chemicals can be volatile or corrosive, so cabinets are usually specially designed and chosen to deal with potential complications. Chemical cabinets can be made of flame retardant materials, coated with glass, attached to ventilation systems or have additional protections installed on them.

Mobile Drawer Cabinet- 

Movable drawer cabinets are wheeled, box-shaped structures containing storage space and drawers. Typically, various small tools or heavier equipment are stored in these cabinets so that they can easily move between workstations.

Drawers- 

Drawers are used to store small items. Many drawers are sectioned or have special inserts to protect their contents.

Glove Dispensers- 

Glove dispensers hold protective gloves that are often worn during experiments and tests. They can carry themselves with the glove or with boxes containing gloves.

Holder, Notebook and File- 

Sometimes it is not allowed to take the log books out of the laboratory. These brackets are placed on the walls so that important notebooks and files can be easily stored and found.

Shelves- 

Simple pieces of lab equipment are stored on shelves.

Stools- 

Stools are one of the most common laboratory furniture. They allow scientists to sit while working in the lab, but they usually don't have backrests or armrests that can hook up and cause accidents.
